ARISE Parish Team
ARISE Together in Christ is a three-year, parish-centered process of spiritual renewal and evangelization that gives people the opportunity to deepen their faith, develop a closer relationship with Christ, grow in community, and reach out in service to others. The process is a major element of the Bicentennial Celebration of the Archdiocese of Boston. RENEW International developed the ARISE process to meet the current particular spiritual needs of the Church in the Archdiocese. The ARISE process applies the spiritual standards of Christ to all areas of life. It emphasizes people living in good relationship with one another, as they make concrete applications of the Gospel to their life situations.
The goals of the ARISE process include teaching and witnessing the Word of God in Sacred Scripture, developing numerous small communities of faith-sharing and service, and providing concrete and practical means of evangelization.
There will be many ways in which parishioners may join the process, offering everyone a chance to help themselves and others grow in an enthusiastic spiritual life.
An ARISE Parish Team has begun planning the implementation of the process which will be launched in the fall.
