PRAYERS

Morning Prayer:

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I will begin this day. I thank you, Lord, for having preserved me during the night. I will do my best to make all I do today pleasing to You and in accordance with Your will. My dear mother Mary, watch over me this day. My Guardian Angel, take care of me. St. Joseph and all you saints of God, pray for me... (followed by Daily Offering)

Daily Offering: O Jesus, through the immaculate heart of Mary, I offer  you my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day in union with the holy  sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions  of your sacred heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our bishops and of all the apostles of prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father  this month.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

COME HOLY SPIRIT fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love,

V Send forth your spirit and they shall be created

R And you Shalt renew the face of the earth

Act of Faith

O my God I firmly believe all the truths that the holy Catholic Church believes and teaches; I believe these truths, O Lord, because you, the  infallible truth has revealed them to Her. In this faith I am resolved to live  and die. Amen.

Act of Hope

O my God relying on your promises I hope that through the infinite merits of Jesus Christ you will Grant me pardon of my sins and the Graces necessary to serve you in this life and to obtain eternal happiness in the next. Amen

Act of Charity

Act of Contrition

O My God, I am sorry for my sins. In choosing to sin, and failing to do good,  I have sinned against you and your Church.  I firmly intend, with the help of your son, to do penance and to sin no more.

To Guardian Angel

Angel of God my Guardian dear to whom God's Love commits me here, ever this  day Be at my side to light and Guard, to rule and Guide. Amen

Queen of Angels

August Queen of heaven! Sovereign Mistress of the angels, you who from the begging have received from god the power and mission to Crush the head of Satan; we humbly beseech you to send the holy legions that, under your command and by your power, they may pursue the evil Spirits; encounter them on every side; resist their bold attacks, and drive them hence into the abyss of everlasting woe. Amen

Act of Reporation

Jesus my God, my Savior, with that lowly homage with which faith itself  inspires Me, I worship you true God, and true Man; with my whole heart I Love You, Enclosed in the most august Sacrament of the Altar, In reparation for all  the acts of Irreverence, profanation, and sacrilege which I may have ever been  so unhappy as to Have committed, as well as for all such like acts that ever have been done or (which May be averted) ever may be done in ages yet to come. I adore you, my God, not, Indeed, according to the measure of Your merits, nor according to the greatness of my Debt to You, but according to the little strength I have; and fain would I adore you With all the perfection of every  reasonable creature! And I purpose now and evermore To adore you, not only for  those Catholics who adore you not, and love you not, But also on behalf of and  for the conversion of all heretics, Schismatics, impious Atheists, blasphemers, sorcerers, Turks, Jews and idolaters. Jesus my God, may You be ever known, adored, loved, and praised every moment, every day, in the most Holy and most  heavenly Sacrament. Amen

Act of Sorrow

The Angelus

R- And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.

(Hail Mary....)
V- Behold the handmaid of the Lord.
R- Be it done unto me according to your word.

R- And dwelt among us.

(Hail Mary....)
V- Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
R- That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

LET US PRAY: Pour forth, we beseech You, O Lord, Your grace into our hearts; that, we to whom the Incarnation of Christ, Your Son, was made known by the  message of an Angel, may by His Passion and Cross, be brought to the glory of  His Resurrection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Our Father:

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Your name; Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

The Apostle’s Creed:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He  ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness  of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

The Divine Praises:

Blessed be God. Blessed be His Holy Name. Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God  and true Man. Blessed be the Name of Jesus. Blessed be His Most Sacred Heart. Blessed be Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Blessed be the great  Mother of God, Mary most Holy. Blessed be her Holy and Immaculate Conception. Blessed be her Glorious Assumption. Blessed be the Name of Mary, Virgin and Mother. Blessed be St. Joseph, her most chaste spouse. Blessed be God in His  Angels and in His Saints.

Act of Resignation to the Divine Will:

O Lord my God, I now, at this moment, readily and willingly accept at Your hands whatever kind of death it may please You to send me, will all its pains, penalties and sorrows. Amen.

Prayer for Employment:

God, our Father, I turn to you seeking your divine help and guidance as I  look for suitable employment. I need your wisdom to guide my footsteps along the  right path, and to lead me to find the proper things to say and do in this quest. I wish to use the gifts and talents you have given me, but I need the  opportunity to do so with gainful employment. Do not abandon me, dear Father, in this search, but rather grant me this favor I seek so that I may return to you with praise and thanksgiving for your gracious assistance. Grant this through Christ, our Lord. Amen

Anima Christi:

Soul of Christ, make me holy. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, fill me with love. Water from Christ's side, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. Good  Jesus, hear me
Within your wounds, hide me. Never let me be parted from you. From the evil  enemy, protect me.
At the hour of my death, call me. And tell me to come to you. That with your saints I may praise you. Through all eternity. Amen.

Prayer Before A Crucifix

"Behold, o good and most sweet Jesus, I fall upon my knees before You, and with most fervent desire beg and beseech You that You would  impress upon my heart a lively sense of faith, hope and charity, true repentance for my sins, and a firm resolve to make amends. And with deep affection and grief, I reflect upon Your five wounds, having before my eyes that which Your prophet David spoke about You, o good Jesus: "They have pierced my hands and feet, they have  counted all my bones." Amen.

My God, I Believe in You

"My God, I believe in You, I hope in You, I love You above all things with all my soul, with all my heart and with all my strength; I love You because You art infinitely good and worthy of being loved; and because I love You, I repent with all my heart of having offended You; have mercy on me, a sinner.  Amen."

Let the earth bless the Lord; let it praise and exalt Him above all forever.

Let us bless the Father and the Son, with the Holy Spirit; let us praise and exalt Him above all for ever.

Blessed art You, Lord, in the firmament of heaven; and worthy of praise, and glorious above all for ever. Amen. --- A prayer composed by Pope Pius XII, for  vocations:

O Lord Jesus Christ, sublime model of all perfection, You art ever urging  onward all privileged souls in the high aspiration towards the goal of religious  life; and, moreover, You will also strengthen them through the powerful force of Your example and the efficacious influence of Your grace so that they may be  able to follow You in such a noble way of life; grant then that many, recognizing Your sweet inspirations, may have the will to correspond with them by  embracing the religious state and so enjoy in it Your special care and tender  predilection.

Grant in like manner that there may never be wanting those angels of Your charity, who will represent You day and night at the cradle of the orphan, at the bedside of the suffering, be the side of the aged and the sick, who perhaps have no one on earth to whom they may look for sympathy and a helping hand.  Grant that humble schools, like lofty pulpits, may ever re-echo Your voice,  teaching the way to heaven and the duties proper to each one's state in life.  May no land, ever so wild and remote, be deprived of the preaching of the Gospel, whereby the invitation is extended to all peoples to enter into Your Kingdom. Increase and multiply the flames which are to spread throughout the world that fire in which the immaculate holiness of Your church is to shine forth  in all its splendor. May there flourish in every place gardens of chosen souls  who by contemplation and penance make reparation for the sins of men and invoke Your mercy upon them.

Grant that the continuous selfsacrifice of these hearts, the snow-white  purity of these souls and their eminent virtues may keep ever alive the perfect  example of the children of God which You did Will to make manifest to men by  The coming into this world.

To these armies of Your dearly beloved souls send a large number of good vocations, souls steadfast and firm in their resolve to make themselves worthy  of their high calling and to become a credit to the holy institute to which they aspire, by exact religious observance, by diligence in prayer, by constant  mortification and by the perfect conformity of their will with You in all things.

Enlighten, O Lord Jesus, many generous sousl with the fiery glow of the Holy Spirit, who is substantial and eternal love, and by the powerful intercession of Your most dear Mother Mary, stir up and preserve in them the fire of Your love,  unto the glory of the Father and the same Holy Spirit, who together with You  live and reign for ever and ever. Amen.

+ Indulgence - 10 years; plenary on usual conditions said daily for one  month.

Imprimatur: Francis Cardinal Spellman, Archbishop of New York, Dec 12, 1962.
