St. Patrick Stewardship Commission
Saint Patrick Parish will be increasingly recognized as a vibrant faith community whose members make a conscious decision to accept the call to be disciples of Jesus Christ. Every parishioner, with his/her own particular gifts from God, shares in God’s work of creation, redemption, and sanctification. As Christian stewards, we receive God’s gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord.
As followers of Jesus Christ,
-
We understand stewardship as an expression of discipleship.
-
We view stewardship in the context of recognition and response.
-
We recognize that all we have and are and will be are gifts from God. As grateful recipients and caretakers of these gifts, we respond with the commitment to cultivate them in loving service to God and to one another.
-
We will develop and implement a stewardship program to serve the needs of Saint Patrick Parish.
-
We will form this stewardship program on the biblically-based concept of sharing our time, talent, and treasure.
-
We will utilize the program development resources of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and of the Archdiocese of Boston.
-
We will regularly meet as a commission to plan and implement the stewardship program.
-
We will collaboratively work with our pastor, clergy, staff, and parish leadership.
-
We will assist in the communication of the stewardship program to all parishioners.
-
We will develop performance metrics to monitor the progress of the program.
-
We will participate in annual renewals to re-enforce and enhance the program.
-
We will perform our duties and responsibilities with the conviction that we are growing spiritually and deepening our relationship with the Lord, as we help to build up the Body of Christ, which is the Church.
