What is an Automated Recurring Direct Donation?

This type of donation is a pre-authorized amount deducted directly from a parishioner’s checking, savings, brokerage, or credit card account and deposited into St. Patrick’s account.

 

What payment methods does WeShare accept?

WeShare processes debits from checking accounts, savings accounts, or any other account, such as a money market or brokerage account.  WeShare accepts the following credit cards:  MasterCard, VISA, American Express and Discover.

 

How does one enroll in WeShare?

  • Signing up under St. Patrick, Lawrence at:

  • Filling out an enrollment form located in the Parish Office.

  • Calling 1-800-950-9952 and speaking with a customer service representative

 

On what day each month does WeShare withdraw donations from parishioners’ accounts?

WeShare allows you to determine the date(s) you would like a withdrawal to occur.  Most parishioners make a monthly donation.  WeShare sends an email to the parishioner when a deduction is processed.

 

Can donations be processed weekly?

Yes.

 

Does WeShare service Special Collections?

Yes.  There is an option to donate to Monthly Parish Project Collection, Archdiocese special collections, as well as Christmas and Easter collections.

 

How does a parishioner change his/her information, such as the amount of donation, bank account information, new credit card number or expiration date, or mailing address?

Changes to WeShare account information can be made by

  1. Logging into the parishioner’s account at:

  3. Calling 1- 800-950-9952 and speaking with a customer service representative

  4. Contacting Pat Neel in our parish office who will make the change on his/her behalf

 

How does a parishioner discontinue the service?

How long do parishioners’ enrollments last?  Do they need to re-specify their donation each year?  Can contributions be adjusted for inflation?

No re-enrollment is required.  The contribution lasts until the parishioner makes a change.  Updates can be made at any time.   Contributions are not adjusted for inflation so a parishioner needs to specify a change in the amount of his/her contribution.

 

How safe are WeShare transactions?

WeShare transactions are as safe as transactions at the highest security bank sites. WeShare utilizes the most sophisticated security and encryption techniques permitted by the federal government.  Every measure is taken to monitor and ensure that all transactions are safe.

 

Is information about parishioners’ bank accounts or credit cards disclosed to anyone?

No.  It is the policy of WeShare never to release any financial information to any party for any reason, except as required by law.

 

What happens with parishioners who feel uncomfortable not having something to physically drop into the Sunday collection basket?

No problem.  WeShare provides special donation slips for those who would like to place something in the basket each week.
